The BIG Preview - Burnley v Wolves

As unwanted history draws ever nearer for Burnley, Nicky Hayen has his work cut out to stop the Turf Moor rot when Wolves come to town on Friday night

Just as Nicky Hayen thought his side had turned a corner after Saturday’s win at Watford, his side were brought crashing back down to earth when they conceded a 96th minute equaliser at home to Chalton.

Now closing in on the ignominy of failing to win a home league game in over a year, there’s plenty riding on this clash with Wolves for both Hayen at the club.

Turf Moor is likely to be on tenterhooks on Friday evening with unwanted history beckoning, but a defiant Hayen was keen to emphasise pre-game that his side aren’t worrying about that.

It’s Wolves who provide the opposition on Friday in a fixture that was a Premier League one as recently as last season, but these two sides have endured very different campaigns so far.
