Goalkeeping shortcomings give Hayen Coud for thought before Lincoln, but should he roll the Weiss & change his #1?

Burnley have never been short of good goalkeepers, but for the first time in perhaps well over a decade, you could argue it's now the club's weakest position. Neither keeper has particularly stake their claim to the #1 shirt, but could Nicky Hayen revert to Max Weiss against Lincoln?

Whether it’s Greg Coudert or Max Weiss, it doesn’t seem to matter for Burnley at the moment, as goals just continue to fly into the back of their net at an alarming rate.

Maybe we’ve been spoiled down the years with the likes of Tom Heaton, Nick Pope, James Trafford, Brian Jensen etc, but the fall from grace between the sticks feels vertical.

The fact this is even a discussion is a sad indictment of the decline of the football club in general. We’ve gone from the days where Billy Mercer’s conveyor belt of England internationals, to simply deciding who is the lesser of two evils in goal.
