Hayen pre-Lincoln

Any more bad news? All the fallout from Nicky Hayen's pre-Lincoln City press conference

Just when you think things can't possibly get any worse, Nicky Hayen delivered more crushing news in today's press conference ahead of Burnley's trip to Lincoln

What was that famous phrase Mick McCarthy used when he was told it couldn’t get much worse? It can!

Nicky Hayen’s pre-match press conference before the Lincoln City game certainly had that kind of feel to it. Just when Burnley fans thought we’d finally hit rock bottom after last week’s defeat to Wolves, it seems we haven’t just yet.

It’s hard not to feel sorry for Hayen at present, who looked something of a broken man sitting in front of the press, and his tone of voice when announcing he’d lost two more key members of his squad in Jacob Bruun Larsen and Jamie Vardy was sympathetic at best.
